. Born Timothy John Childs, he also goes by a number of aliases. Childs goes by the names Timothy Singleton, Timothy Brophy, and James Cooper. He is also known to have a tattoo on his right shoulder. Interestingly, it was only in 1991 that Timothy John Childs earned a spot in Nevada’s Black Book. Sure, this was quite late, as compared to the likes of William Land and John Joseph Vaccaro, Jr. But Childs has quite the extensive criminal record, even way before he made it into the Black Book.
Before Childs was enlisted, he had already been arrested forty-five times. Yes, that many times already, for gaming charges and grand larcenies as well. He had also been convicted roughly seven times for slot cheating. From these figures, you can clearly see that Childs is indeed a veteran at the craft, for the lack of a better term.
What’s worse is that Childs seems to think there is nothing wrong with slot cheating. There was even one time when Childs applied for a loan from a financial institution. When his form was processed, it was determined that Childs had written on the occupation part of the form “slot cheat”. And this happened after he had been arrested for cheating slot machines. Apparently, Childs sees slot cheating as a reputable profession, and he was proud to be termed as one. |
